What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at Bednark?
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be assisting the Facilities Team in maintaining healthy, safe, and efficient shop standards.
They will assist in daily shop maintenance as well as be responsible for “quick fix” style tasks while being expected to work with the appropriate vendor/contractor to permanently fix what is needed.
They will also assist the Shop Technician on the preventative maintenance of various shop machines/utilities.
The candidate must be a self-motivated problem solver willing to troubleshoot on the spot and report to the Facilities Manager with a problem, diagnosis, and solution.

Over the last 15 years, we have evolved into a full-service, vertically integrated custom fabricator with manufacturing capabilities in wood, plastic, metal, print and integrated lighting. Bednark specializes in premium environments, both temporary and permanent, across multiple geographies and categories. Bednark Studio always pushes the limits of what is possible.

Responsibilities
- Maintain Air compressor systems.
- Maintain HVAC systems.
- Maintain trash and recycling receptacles.
- General utility/shop fixture maintenance.
- General building maintenance.
- Assists Shop Tech with machine fixes.
- Assist Safety Officer with safety inspections.
- Basic carpentry.
- Basic plumbing.
- Basic electrical.
- Drywall/ painting.
- Can lift 50 lbs.
- Forklift Certified.
- Scissor Lift qualified.
- NYS Drivers license.
