Are you a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) looking for an exciting opportunity in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)? Join our dedicated team at Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Vista Manor, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality food and nutrition services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, and evaluations.
• Inspect food storage rooms and janitorial closets to maintain upkeep and supply control.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions and performance evaluations for personnel.
• Coordinate food and nutrition services with other departments (nursing, environmental, activities, social services, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with families and residents.
• Plan regular and special diet menus as prescribed by attending physicians.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies for menu maintenance and filing.
• Develop and implement safe food service equipment operation procedures.
• Establish methods to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the department.
• Standardize task performance methods and assist staff with departmental procedures.
• Participate in infection control initiatives related to food and nutrition services.
• Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Conduct periodic visits to residents to evaluate meal quality and satisfaction.
• Oversee QAPI programs and ensure compliance with food and nutrition services regulations.
• Discipline and manage personnel in collaboration with HR and administration.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure staff performance and compliance with facility needs.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or hold a comparable certification in the state.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Strong knowledge of food and nutrition service practices, regulations, and compliance in nursing care facilities.
• Leadership ability and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, and implement food service programs.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order in food service areas.
