Certified Dietary Manager Key Duties:
- Assists in the planning, scheduling, and supervising or dietary personnel.
- Ensure the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines.
- Assure that each residents’ nutritional adequacy is met by utilizing the assurance of Nutritional Adequacy Policy.
- Maintains individual diet information by transcribing information from dietitian’s weekly notes. Attends Care Plan Meetings
- Knowledge of local, State, Federal regulations, and survey inspection process.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, as well as regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the overall sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen, storage and dining areas, and equipment.
- Performs other job-related duties.
- Certified Dietary Manager in healthcare.
- Minimum 2 years managing the food service department in long term care facility, hospital, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of large scale and therapeutic food preparation.
- Solid leadership and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management software.
