Job Title: Yard Associate

Job Summary

The Yard Associate is responsible for merchandising landscape supplies—including flagstone, strip stone, pavers, wall block, edging, and other large aggregates—while ensuring a secure, organized, and customer-friendly yard environment. This role requires outdoor work, the ability to lift heavy materials, and interaction with customers. Previous experience with heavy equipment is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandising & Yard Maintenance:
• Organize and display landscape supplies in an appealing and orderly manner.
• Ensure the yard remains clean and well-maintained throughout the day.
• Equipment Operation:
• Operate heavy equipment as needed for yard activities; prior training is an asset.
• Follow all safety protocols during equipment operation and material handling.
• Customer Interaction & Yard Security:
• Engage with customers in the yard, offering product information and assisting with selections.
• Verify that all materials are paid for before customers leave the yard.
• Assist in safely loading heavy materials into customer vehicles.
• Safety & Team Collaboration:
• Maintain a high standard of safety for yourself, coworkers, and customers.
• Work effectively with team members to address yard needs and resolve issues promptly.
  

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience or training in heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual tasks.
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
