Job Description: Blast and Prep Representative
Shift 3-Nights (8:30p-7:00a M-W & 5:30p-4:00a Th)

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Sands and prepares parts for powder coat application approximately 4 hours daily
- Sprays specified amount of thickness of powder coat to products on assembly line prior to heat being introduced
- May need to regulate controls on equipment to ensure adequate amount of powder flowing
- Inspect each product as painted for quality of coating
- May operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment
- Always wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, face masks and other items deemed necessary by management
- Adheres to department attendance policy
- All other duties assigned by management
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills required
- Must be able to distinguish between product manufactured, blasted and painted (i.e. a grill guard, replacement front end, back bumper, headache rack, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Ability to visually inspect product and apply appropriate amounts of powder coat product for quality finish
- Must pass respiratory fit and pulmonary function tests
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting and/or walking (33% - 75% of time)
- Stooping, bending, twisting, leaning (10% - 25% of time)
- Lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally (0% - 33% of time)

- Loud Environments
- Extreme heat or cold (weather-related)
