Job OverviewThe Interior Designer is responsible for designing our retail spaces and showroom vignettes. The Interior Designer will actively participate and contribute to developing design concepts. In this position, you may begin to handle some project management tasks, but will primarily work on technical aspects.DutiesCollaborate with the Marketing team, Product managers, and Branch managers to design and build retail spaces and vignettes within the showroomCreate various room scenes and provide inspiration for our product usage to drive salesResponsible for presentation of merchandise in the showroom - style the showroom with cabinets, accessories, fixtures, finishes, and furnitureLead design projects from concept to completionProduce complete interior design drawings and documentation including plans, interior elevations, details, specifications and component spreadsheetsWork with suppliers and contractorsDevelop proposals and budgets for vignettesOversee and mentor Jr designer(s) and support staffQC of interior design drawings and documentationsMinimum QualificationsBA in Interior Design or related field5-7 years of design experienceNew construction and renovation experience is a mustExpert knowledge of AutoCAD is a mustKnowledge of Sketchup or other 3D toolsNCIDQ preferredCapability to lead a team; leadership experience is criticalMust be able to space plan all aspects of renovation and new showroom buildsAbility to make the transition from strategic thinking (conceptual and planning) to execution to achieve the tactical objectivesCreative problem-solving abilitiesAbility to travel to various showrooms in the USStrong time management skillsAbility to organize and effectively communicate in written and verbal format#J-18808-Ljbffr
