Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the transportation and logistics department of Bee Green’s recycling facilities and landscape supply store. The Logistics Coordinator oversees the dispatcher, delivery drivers, and roll off drivers, and manages communications with third-party haulers. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the transportation of inbound retail inventory and outbound recyclable materials for Bee Green’s facilities. This role involves balancing cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while ensuring that customer commitments are met on time and with exemplary service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, managerial, and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of freight logistics and industry regulations. The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations.
\n- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to use logistics and point of sale software used by the company (TRUX & Epicor Biztrack).
- Excellent oral and written communication and strong attention to detail.
- Impeccable organizational skills, and ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent people management skills, and interpersonal communication skills. Communicate with team and vendors in a professional manner.
- Understanding of all applicable compliance and DOT transportation regulations.

- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field; OR
- Certification in logistics or supply chain and minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain management, or related role; OR
- 4 years of recent experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain management, or related role.
- Plan, organize, and assign daily trucking schedules for third-party haulers.
- Coordinate the hauling of outbound materials to appropriate landfills or processing facilities.
- Serve as the main point of contact for third-party haulers, negotiating rates, confirming availability, and ensuring contractual terms are met.
- Coordinate delivery of open purchase orders from suppliers to the retail store, or direct deliveries from suppliers to customers.
- Ensure that all trucking and delivery operations comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety guidelines.
- Review Samsara incident reports weekly, and monitor safety incidents, providing supplemental training to drivers as needed.
- Communicate effectively with haulers and vendors to maintain a smooth supply chain flow.
- Monitor KPI’s for the logistics department
- Utilize transportation management systems and dispatch software to document routes, track load status, and maintain driver schedules.
- Lead the logistics department, including overseeing all personnel matters pertaining to the Dispatcher and Company Drivers, and ensure team alignment with company goals. Personnel management includes; shift scheduling, training, performance management, time off requests, and other matters as applicable. Disciplinary action or Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) must be addressed with the Director of Operations and Human Resources.
