What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Library/Media Specialist position at Beechwood Elementary School?
Must have valid KY certification in the field of assignment.
Create a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth, to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for elementary grade education, in accordance with each pupil's ability; to establish good relationships with parents and staff.
Develop and facilitate a school based library media and technology program which meets and exceeds goals established by federal, state, and local school authorities in order to provide information needs of students and teachers in the instructional process.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
For this type of employment, a national and state criminal background check is required for all new hires, along with a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating that there are no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect on record.
