Job Summary
The Area Director of Operations will oversee five hotels, ensuring that hotel operations are carried out professionally and at the highest level of service while always maintaining the financial impact of such decisions and operations. This leader will be a dynamic, experienced and motivated mentor to General Managers, as well as ensuring the hotels are continually in line with and carrying out the strategic goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
o Lead and mentor hotel managers and department heads to ensure successful operation of their hotels.
o Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute company objectives, priorities, and business plans.
o Ensure responsible financial management of assigned hotels at all times. In partnership with the leadership team, develop annual budgets to accurately forecast financials performance and deliver financial results in accordance with those budgets.
o Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and addressing guest concerns promptly.
o Implement strategies to enhance guest experience across all touchpoints, including in-room services, dining, amenities, and customer service.
o Periodic property inspections, ensuring completion of Brand training programs and Brand compliance.
o Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align operations with marketing strategies, promotions, and guest engagement initiatives. Actively participate in sales discussion meetings and plans to achieve and exceed established revenue goals.
o Ensure that all assigned assets are properly maintained and protected, and that life safety programs and practices are being enforced
o Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, environmental policies, and labor laws.
o Oversee risk management strategies, including loss prevention, security, and crisis management.
o Promote a positive work environment and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence. Control turnover with a focus on employee development and retention.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, corporate partners, and suppliers.
o Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
Qualifications:
· Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior operational leadership role with Hilton properties. Prior experience managing multiple hotel properties is a plus.
· Skills and Abilities:
o Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Excellent verbal communication skills to clearly convey information and ideas.
o Excellent financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
o Proven experience in operational efficiency, cost control, and process improvement.
o Knowledge of hotel management software and systems.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
o Must have a valid driver license. Work Environment:
· Full-time position with the expectation of travel to various hotel locations.
· Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
