Beef-a-Roo Assistant Night Manager
General Description:
The Assistant night manager is an asset to the Beef-a-Roo management team. A proven leader with behavior that motivates and inspires other team members. Must be passionate about providing service to guests and ensuring each experience is of the highest quality. They demonstrate a strong awareness and concern for food quality/safety and overall cleanliness. They enjoy working in a fast-paced, high energy, and team-oriented environment. They report directly to the Beef-a-Roo Night Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Completing all management duties when running a shift.
- Executing all Beef-a-Roo operating systems & checklists.
- Assisting in training new hires on company procedures.
- Ensuring the team follows the Employee Handbook Policies.
- Ensuring the team follows the Department of Health Rules and all food safety procedures.
- Monitor the well-functioning and temperatures of the refrigeration units.
- Applying FIFO.
- Ensuring cleanliness of all equipment during the shift.
- Executing all register and banking procedures.
- Report Labor cost-influencing activities (weather, events,...) to the manager.
- Ensuring the operation looks clean and welcoming.
- Contact point for guests, complaints, and inquiries.
- Completing daily notes on staff timeliness, maintenance issues, guest complaints, etc.
- Candidates must be SERVSAFE MANAGER-certified.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Executes all facets of store operations and checklists.
- Can train any front of house or back of house station.
- Can execute full daily cash closing procedures.
- Makes regular bank deposits.
- Communicates any service calls needed.
- Participates in management/supervisory meetings with the store management team.
- Show leadership and proficiency in the following areas: Service and Kitchen.
- Assist in training and employee development.
- Serve as the decision maker if the MOD is out of the store or not available.
- Strong understanding of menu items and recipe processes.
- Lead as the quality control position during shifts.
- Oversee all aspects required to close the restaurant each night.
- Is able to lock the store and activate the alarm system.
- Ensure all lights and equipment are turned off.
- Determine prep needs for the night and write on the prep board.
- Assign daily job board tasks for each crew member before they arrive.
- Check all prep stations so the crew can easily and efficiently begin tasks.
- Assign staffing positions and write on the staffing board.
- Follow all items on the Manager-To-Do List and ensure they are checked off.
- Monitor the quality, efficiency, and completion of all assigned tasks.
- Communicate with the General Manager any needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum two year’s experience in food service.
- Experience in team management and development.

Hourly Expectations
- 40 hours per week.
- (nights, every other weekend, holidays)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
- Must be able to reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb.
- Must be able to balance and move up to 25 lbs. for distances of up to 50 ft.
- Stamina to work 40 hours per week on a consistent basis.
- Must be able to understand and respond to team members and guest requests in a loud environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
