What are the responsibilities and job description for the Broadband Construction Technician position at Beehive Broadband?
Position Overview/Description:
This is an outside construction position that will be required to operate machinery, work in extreme temperatures, and occasionally work with the public. You will be using tools and machinery to place fiber and copper cable in the ground. Because this position involves installing fiber and/or copper to customer homes, you will be required to deal with customers and are expected to be respectful of the property that you are working on. This position requires extensive travel and occasional overnight stay.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Work outside in both heat and cold
- Occassional overnight stay and long drive time to different work locations
- Good MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) CDL Preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Equipment operating experience (Ditch-witch, Backhoe, Trencher, etc.)
- Background in placing fiber and conduit
- Background in Construction
