Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing engineering role Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies. Experience with plant layout, material flow optimization, and workstation design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools for facility and process layout design. Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) and experience managing capital projects. Hands-on experience conducting time studies, cycle time analysis, and labor efficiency evaluations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities
- Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules for new equipment integration and process enhancements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and engineering, to ensure smooth implementation of new processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with new technology adoption and production scaling.
- Conduct time studies, motion analysis, and work sampling to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste.
- Develop and refine facility layouts, material flow strategies, and workstation designs to optimize production.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize machine utilization, labor efficiency, and process standardization to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Implement ergonomic improvements and safety measures in workstation design and workflow organization.
- Analyze production data, cycle times, and takt times to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
- Develop standard work procedures, work instructions, and training materials for operators and technicians.
- Assist in capacity planning, labor forecasting, and resource allocation to meet production demands.
- Evaluate and improve inventory management, material handling, and supply chain logistics related to metal additive manufacturing.
- Utilize statistical analysis and simulation tools to model and improve manufacturing performance.
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor production efficiency, cost reduction, and quality metrics.
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects, downtime, and other production issues, implementing corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in metal additive manufacturing, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with additive Printers, including L-PBF and SLA/Binderjet technologies, post-processing and quality assurance of 3D-printed parts.
- PMP Certification or formal project management training
- Experience in rapid process development techniques Statistical Process Control and data analytics to drive key decisions
- Knowledge of process modeling techniques and proficiency in utilization of modeling to improve process outcomes
- Understanding of manufacturing automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 principles.
