Barback/Busser

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our team in a fast-paced bar or restaurant environment. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders by ensuring that the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork, as you will be assisting in providing an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and serving customers efficiently.
• Stock the bar with necessary supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by cleaning countertops, glassware, and utensils regularly.
• Help with bussing tables and clearing empty glasses or dishes to ensure a tidy environment.
• Ensure that all food handling practices are followed according to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels to management.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.

Skills

• Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with bussing and cleaning in a restaurant or hotel setting is a plus.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others as needed.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
