Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavioral support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories for their lives.
We currently have an anticipated opening for a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at our Panther Valley Satellite Classroom.

POSITION GOAL
Provide school-based occupational therapy services for students to facilitate their educational program within an educational environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Coordinate occupational therapy with school personnel and other appropriate specialists to develop the Individual Education Plan (IEP), measurable goals and incorporate specially designed instruction into IEP's as well as participation in relevant conferences.
- Develop specific activities toward the implementation of therapy techniques.
- Establish, collect, and assist with the referral process, review of records, documentation of therapy and screening, evaluations, and report writing.
- Utilize appropriate therapy techniques to manage therapy services as well as adaptation and termination of procedures.
- Contributes toward the development and maintenance of an environment which is non-threatening, safe, and nurturing and where the students feel respected, accepted, and welcomed.
- Provides supervisor with data and continuous feedback concerning student progress.
- Responds positively to supervision and suggestions for improvement.
- Understands and maintains confidentiality in all matters.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
- Experience from a previous school or agency, preferred.
- Experience working with children/students, preferred.
- Utilizes effective written and oral expression
- Basic computer literacy
