About Us : Behavioral Health Consultants (BHC) is a leading psychological consultation-liaison service operating in Austin, Texas. Since our inception in 1998, we have grown from consulting for a single physician in one facility to a team of 9 providers executing ~6,000 consults annually across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and long-term care settings. We are the leading independent consultation-liaison solution in the Central Texas area and cover facilities from Georgetown to Kyle / Buda.

Job Overview : We are urgently seeking multiple psychologists to join our practice. Our team addresses a wide range of psychological issues in acute care medical settings, including but not limited to crisis intervention, risk assessments, and treatment compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

Assess and treat patients with depression, anxiety, and somatization issues
Support treatment and rehabilitation adherence
Manage pain and address substance abuse issues
Perform dementia and cognitive capacity evaluations
Conduct crisis interventions and suicide evaluations / risk assessments
Address end-of-life issues
Analyze treat family dynamics affecting medical treatment

Qualifications :

Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)

Texas license

Early career psychologists are encouraged to apply; relevant experience is a plus
