The AISS Clinician works with the Hampden County Sheriff’s Office to provide clinical services on-site at the All-Inclusive Support Services (AISS) program. The AISS Clinician provides outcome-driven evidence-based psychotherapy and social emotional skills training and support to individuals served in a variety of settings and modalities. Services may be delivered at AISS or via BHN’s telehealth platform, and may include individual, couple, family, and group therapy as well as training and behavioral health consultation.
AISS Clinicians at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
- Provides psychotherapy services to participants seeking to receive clinical services at the AISS location.
- Assists with mental health crises or persons walking in with a psychiatric emergency that may arise when on shift and/or to consult with AISS staff on cases where a mental health issue may be impeding a participant’s ability to connect to services and/or successfully engage in the services offered in house.
- Problem solves with or and/educates staff on alternative approaches to helping clients who present with multiple challenges. AISS facilitates a number of groups for participants. At times AISS may be short staffed and call on BHN clinical staff to co-lead and/or lead a group if necessary and staff is available. There is also the possibility to develop and deliver a group service at AISS.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in a license eligible behavioral health field. ( required )
- Experience and/ or training (or willingness to learn) working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
- Must have or be actively working towards having a behavioral health license.
- Must have broad knowledge of mental illness and treatment techniques, including adults with severe and persistent mental health needs or children with serious emotional disturbance.
- Must have familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates willingness and ability to treat challenging and diverse individual populations.
- Demonstrates cultural competence in dealing with individuals with a variety of different cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of community resources, and how to help individuals access them. On-site and telehealth hybrid schedule possible.
Salary : $63,100 - $79,900
