What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Specialist position at Behavioral Health Solutions of South Texas?
Job Description:
- Apply outreach and networking efforts in the hub region to increase the awareness and utilization of the statewide overdose reversal medication distribution and overdose prevention and response training programs, including among businesses, providers, healthcare services (e.g., EMS, emergency rooms), educational institutions, and individuals.
- Fulfill all in-person overdose reversal medication orders received on a timely manner, that meets contract requirements, upon request.
- Provide approved virtual or in person overdose response and prevention training to all individuals who received overdose reversal medication in-person from the hub, including collection of pre/post test scores for each trained individual.
- Provide approved fentanyl awareness and education to requesting individuals and educational institutions in the hub region, including collection of pre/post test scores for each trained individual.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sociology or equivalent
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Current Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are required.
