Position Overview :
We are looking for a driven and creative Retail Strategy & Consumer Insights Intern to help us refine our approach to gathering in-store consumer insights. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in strategy, consumer behavior, and the integration of consumer feedback mechanisms within physical retail environments, including stores, restaurants, and services.
In this role, you will examine consumer movement through stores to identify optimal engagement points for capturing feedback. Your focus will be on how BeHeard can be effectively woven into the customer journey to gather high-quality insights for major brands and chains.
Key Responsibilities :
- Retail Store Observations :
- Visit various retail, restaurant, and service establishments to conduct observations.
- Analyze customer behavior from entry to exit, focusing on engagement with different areas of the store, such as product displays and service desks.
- Identify the most effective touchpoints for gathering consumer feedback, including post-purchase and during browsing.
- Optimize interaction points to ensure we collect valuable insights for our brand partners.
- Strategic Analysis of Consumer Flow :
- Map the typical consumer journey within each store to spot opportunities for feedback engagement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current feedback-gathering methods, such as surveys and kiosks.
- Identify potential barriers to customer participation and propose solutions.
- Develop Feedback Insertion Strategy :
- Craft strategies for seamlessly integrating BeHeard into the retail experience.
- Innovate feedback mechanisms that align with the store's layout and customer journey.
- Recommend ideal technology and placement options, such as at checkout counters and near displays, to encourage feedback sharing.
- Provide actionable recommendations tailored to each retail partner based on your findings.
- Create Strategic Presentations :
- Design engaging presentations that communicate your findings and strategies.
- Include visual maps highlighting customer flow and pinpointing effective feedback collection areas.
- Share ideas for maximizing feedback without disrupting the shopping experience.
- Customize presentations to fit each brand's unique retail setting and customer demographics.
