Summer Internship: Warehouse Material Management Intern

General Description :

At current, this position reports directly to the Head of Warehouse material management and weigh & dispense however will be managed by a Warehouse Sr. Supervisor. Working within a greenfield project initially, the candidate will be responsible for facility start-up, installation & commissioning activities to ensure the Warehouse is operationally ready for cGMP Manufacturing.

The prospect will be required to handle various equipment involved in daily warehouse operations and will work with various functional teams in a customer service type environment to ensure material needs are met correctly and timely in support of all functional teams.

This role will focus largely on preparatory activities required for warehouse set up including systems, equipment readiness for use, material readiness and setting up operational plans & flows. The incumbent will work using several software’s and tasks including using ERP-SAP WMS, ASRS and high racking systems, Inventory Management, equipment and materials management and procedural documentation writing.

Essential Functions of the job :

Support with writing and updating of documents such as SOP’s, MBRs, WI’s, Forms & Training documents.

Will be required to perform weighing & dispensing activities as well as other Warehouse related day to day activities. Must be comfortable with working with weighing out powders, salts, liquids.

Comfortable with all aspects of Warehouse Operations, otherwise has strong willingness to learn.

Operate Warehouse Equipment such as Forklift and Reacher, certification is a plus.

Comfortable working within and operate within a High Rack Warehousing system.

Managing inventory for Warehouse materials.

Performing periodic cycle counting to determine inventory accuracy.

Makes sure to complete all necessary trainings to remain in compliance.

Will work under supervision and escalate issues to supervisor.

Experienced working in a GMP environment is necessary, ability to follow SOPs.

Handling of temperature sensitive materials.

Operating within a complete walking staging freezer system as well as cold room.

Must have good communication skills.

Will use Warehouse Systems Management, ERP i.e SAP knowledge is preferred.

Provide daily on-hand support to all functional teams, as needed.

Responsible for performing activities related to receiving, issuing, production / lab support, inventory management, material storage and distribution, restocking and equipment and room maintenance.

Prior experience working within a Classified Clean Room.

Will work with the supply chain teams on the receiving and shipping of materials such as testing samples, drug product, intermediates, material returns, etc.

Harnessing safe behaviors and ensuring upmost importance for a safe working environment in the Warehouse

Demonstrates a sense of teamwork and shows flexibility to meet critical timelines.

Works closely with Supply Chain and Procurement to help with material receiving consolidation or any other invoice related discrepancies or other issues.

Preparation of materials for outbound shipping. Will work with the Supply Chain team to coordinate shipment preparation and pick up.

Support in any other assignment as is determined by supervisor / manager.

Will perform cleaning activities of clean rooms, equipment and materials.

Work within a clean room environment and understands GMP standards.

Salary Range : $ - $ per hour
