A Lead CNC programmer job in Lebanon, IN is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be focused on programming primarily. This position will help support our current and new customer projects. A successful candidate will have at least 10 years" experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a metal cutting job shop with R&D projects

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis simultaneous CNC milling machines, 3-axis CNC milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment involving precision tolerances, as necessary.
* Act as subject matter expert on all things CNC machining.,
* Conduct manufacturability reviews with customers to learn about the end use of the product, focusing on critical features and tolerances.
* Conduct special studies involving manufacturing methods, rates, and estimates for new business.
* Investigate various types of new machines & equipment for production.
* Assist in determining processing methods, tooling, and the most cost-effective operation to support the
CNC department.
* Generate work instructions for production processes and equipment, including set-up sheets for
operators
* Design fixtures, jaws, work holdings, etc. using Solidworks.
* Recommend new standards and/or policies for continuous improvement.
* Proactively identify and communicate risks, propose and implement actions.
* Perform technical investigations, document findings, propose solutions for management decision(s), then implement actions.
* Assist in quality-related issues, providing technical expertise during root cause analysis, risk assessment
FMEA processes, corrective actions, etc.
* Assist with programming CMM as necessary.
* Complete other projects/tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor.
* Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma/GED
* Must be a U.S. Citizen/Green Card holder.
* 10 years" experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a metal cutting job
shop with R&D projects.
* Blueprint reading experience, including GD&T.
* Experience with Solidworks and MasterCam required.
* Programming experience (not editing or revising an existing program) -5 axis CNC mills.
* GD&T, blue print reading and understanding how the components will work in a system
* Experience with CMM programmer is a plus

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and collaboration skills.
* Must have excellent organizational skills.
* Team player
* Proficient with MS Office suite, good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and strong computer skills
* Familiarity with Lean Initiatives such as, Kaizen, Value Analysis, Kanban, Error Proofing, Problem Solving,
and Standardized Work, and Six Sigma activities are preferred.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Able to pass background check and drug test.
