Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team as a Test Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials testing and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct static tests on various materials to assess their properties, such as strength, durability, and elasticity, per approved test requests.
- Collect and prepare samples from engineering and fabrication sources for testing, including fabrication and preparation of specimens to required testing sizes using precision tools.
- Operate standard 12-inch shop wet saws and precision grinders for cutting composites and dressing material specimens to exact tolerances.
- Set up and utilize data acquisition and control computers to run tests, monitor data collection, and record results for customer reports.
- Prepare and deliver data to customers in the required format and location.
- Maintain and confirm calibrated testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability, including scheduling calibrations with third-party suppliers and internal metrology departments.
- Collaborate with customer representatives, Center Engineers, and technicians to provide support and ensure quality assurance requirements are met.
- Follow safety regulations and procedures during testing, including proper utilization of machine safeguarding and conducting Job Safety Analyses for non-standard testing.
