The company Datrose is seeking a highly skilled Static Test Technician to join their team in Stratford, CT. As a Static Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing static tests on materials to assess their strength, durability, and elasticity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform static tests on materials to assess strength, durability, and elasticity per approved requests.
- Collect and prepare samples using a 12 wet saw and CNC precision grinder for exact tolerances.
- Set up and operate data acquisition systems, monitor tests, and deliver reports as required by customers.
- Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
- Work with engineers, customers, and quality assurance teams to support testing processes.
- Follow safety regulations and conduct Job Safety Analyses for new or non-standard tests.
- Assist with research and explain test setups to customers.
- Prepare and monitor specimens in environmental chambers and deliver results as requested.
Qualifications:
- Experience in material testing, specimen preparation, or a related field.
- Proficiency in operating a shop wet saw and CNC precision grinder.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to run and monitor data acquisition systems.
- Attention to detail in maintaining and calibrating testing equipment.
