What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIL - Lab Technician position at Belfonte Ice Cream?
Belfonte has an opening for a Lab Technician. 7am to finish, usually 8-10 hour days with some Saturdays required.
Bachelor of Science - Microbiology/Biology/Chemistry preferred but not required.
This applicant will be responsible for but not limited to, the following:
- Raw Milk Analysis
- Ice Cream Mix Analysis
- Running hourly butterfat's
- Inoculation of butter milk
- gathering production samples
The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, follow verbal and written instructions, complete daily reports, as well as work well with numbers
Applicant must be required to climb, and walk in an upright as well as bent position, he or she will be required to work in a very hot (100 degree) and very cool (32 degrees) environments. He or she may be required with move objects weighing as much as 225 pounds
The successful applicant must be able to keep the lab in an clean and sanitary condition and work in a safe and efficient manner.
