Overview:
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all patient registration functions within outpatient services, the emergency department, and financial counseling. The Patient Access Director ensures a seamless and efficient admission process while maintaining open communication with key departments, including nursing, environmental services, and surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise patient registration and financial counseling teams, ensuring accurate data collection and proper insurance verification.
- Oversee the scheduling and preregistration of patients for hospital and ambulatory services.
- Ensure compliance with admission policies, including Conditions of Admission, HIPAA, patient rights, and Medicare Secondary Payer guidelines.
- Address and resolve patient concerns related to registration and financial matters.
- Regularly update policies and procedures to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate insurance master files and ensure proper contract management.
- Foster clear and professional communication within the department and with other hospital teams.
- Provide training and development for staff, conducting performance evaluations and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Manage department documentation, reporting, and safe handling of patient valuables.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of department equipment and supplies.
- Represent the organization professionally and uphold ethical business practices.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in patient access management required; leadership experience preferred.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in computer systems and patient registration software.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
