Essential Job Functions
Safety Performance Monitoring
- Track and report safety metrics to management. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, EPA). Stay current with regulatory updates and assist with audits and inspections.
Risk Management
- Identify and address safety risks related to intermodal operations. Conduct safety audits, hazard analyses, and maintain emergency response plans.
Training & Education
- Oversee monthly driver safety training; ensure full participation. Ensure employees understand safety procedures and equipment use. Maintain training and certification records.
Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Report incidents and accidents promptly. Identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement preventative measures.
Vendor Coordination
- Work with repair vendors to ensure safety standards are met. Stay informed on industry best practices and participate in safety-related forums.
Equipment & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Ensure vehicles, containers, and equipment are maintained and compliant with safety standards. Manage inspection schedules and conduct monthly spot checks. Submit reports to management as required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate safety records, including inspections, training, incidents, and compliance certifications. Ensure accessibility and organization of safety documentation.
Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
