Job Summary
BELL Construction is hiring a Preconstruction Administrator to join their Building division in Nashville, TN. The Preconstruction Administrator is responsible for the coordination, administration, and direction of all Preconstruction administrative activities to support the Preconstruction group.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages subcontractor prequalification process.
- Coordinates subcontractor bid solicitation by building and maintaining relationships.
- Evaluates comprehensive proposals.
- Distributes, maintains, and ensures subcontractor documentation is compliant (licenses, insurance, etc.).
- Assists with DBE compliance to meet BELL standards and industry regulations.
- Composes and/or edits letters, memos, reports, procedures, etc., as required.
- Performs additional assignments as needed to support the preconstruction team.
Education & Experience
- Minimum required – Five (5) years of administrative and experience in the construction or similar industry.
- Minimum required – Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Previous experience using Viewpoint & Bluebeam preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of job contracts and general business/company procedures preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Position has continual contact with top clients, labor and/or government, and similar representatives. Must be courteous, professional, and diplomatic in dealing with external contacts.
