Job Summary:
This position leads the training and communications area for mortgage servicing. This position will oversee the trainers and communications specialists of mortgage servicing in multiple locations. This position is responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development for all mortgage servicing employees.
Primary Duties:
- Lead the Year-End project annually.
- Work with print vendor on data mapping changes to Year End tax forms
- Work with department trainer(s) to provide annual year-end training for department staff.
- Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating
- Identify future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training
- Lead programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes, policy and regulation changes.
- Communicate with management, trainers and team members to ensure that all needs are met
- Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications projects
- Work with different servicing areas on development of letters and notices
- Work with print vendor on implementing new letters, sending and receiving of files.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, provide ongoing development, training and mentorship to staff.
- Handle personnel issues within the department. Maintain good relations between staff. Prepare and conduct performance reviews and recommends salary adjustments.
- Interview and hire personnel.
- Conduct reviews of positions manages to identify training needs and accuracy, and review and update job descriptions including job descriptions for new positions.
- Ensure procedures have been developed and are updated periodically for each position supervised in addition to the management position. Communicate new procedures or changes in procedures to staff and department managers.
- Train, implement and ensure procedures are written on new methods/products/projects.
- Monitor positions for internal controls. Ensure specific policies and procedures are being followed and review quality control reports for system accuracy.
- Perform special projects, additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Mortgage Servicing Manager.
- Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.

Job Skills Required:
- Training and communications experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- ICE Mortgage Technology MSP experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, research, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to motivate others, work independently and demonstrate critical thinking skills and independent judgement.
- Ability to provide professional support and present a positive image of the department and the bank.
