Bell is a leader in the flavor industry, dedicated to innovation and excellence. We are seeking a Flavor Knowledge Manager to oversee our flavor library program and ensure that our internal expertise on flavor performance is effectively curated, maintained, and utilized.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Bell’s customer-facing online platform, which serves as an online flavor library and sample request system.
- Ensure seamless integration of the platform with internal systems and daily workflows.
- Act as a content manager, maintaining platform accuracy, managing user profiles, and collaborating with IT/developers for improvements.
- Create user guides and provide training to internal and external teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to the platform.
- Develop a deep understanding of the flavor library to unlock insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Analyze trends in library requests, identify gaps, and propose enhancements.
- Apply flavors and screen them in appropriate applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Manage daily product library requests and ensure inventory is stocked, organized, and easily accessible.
- Collaborate with Sample Lab and Shipping teams to enhance the customer experience for product library samples.
- Monitor and track KPIs related to the flavor library.
- Maintain and administer institutional knowledge for Bell’s Flavor Library and Online Platform, ensuring the preservation of historical data in physical and digital formats.
- Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams on the proper use and management of the flavor library and platform.
- Create and manage electronic and physical product folders.
- Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales, QC, Sample Lab, Sample Shipping, Evaluation, Website Developers, and IT teams to optimize flavor library operations and accessibility.
Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience working with flavors in application; experience in building or maintaining a flavor library is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience applying and screening flavors.
- Strong understanding of PLM systems.
- Experience managing website content.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong mathematical skills for data analysis and inventory tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to taste and differentiate a variety of flavors and aromas.
