We have an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Shared Services Supervisor to oversee general accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Cash/Treasury activities. This critical role ensures accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency while managing a talented team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise AR, AP, and Cash/Treasury operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations.
- Oversee timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support external audits by preparing financial statements and relevant documentation.
- Review budget reports and provide support during the annual budget preparation process.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns.
- Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly lead and supervise a team of 3-5 accounting professionals.
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to foster growth and development.
- Establish best practices for improving process efficiency and promoting continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of hands-on experience in AR/AP, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting, with prior supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial controls.
- Advanced analytical skills for identifying and resolving financial discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with experience tracking KPIs.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer service mindset for efficiently resolving stakeholder inquiries.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate successfully across departments.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
