Job Summary
As an RV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining recreational vehicles such as motorhomes, travel trailers, and campers. Your duties will include troubleshooting electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, and other components to ensure the safe and proper functioning of RVs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma not required
- Previous experience or PDI experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of RV systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and propane systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
Responsibilities
- Inspect RVs to identify issues and discuss necessary repairs with customers
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems in RVs
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Test RV systems and components to ensure they meet safety standards
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians as needed
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in RV technology
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and coordination to manipulate tools and equipment
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
