Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, stepping in to fulfill tasks as needed
- Establish clear expectations, provide training and feedback, and support staff development opportunities
- Address and resolve team performance issues and workplace challenges effectively
- Oversee breaks, lunches, and shift transitions to maintain a seamless workflow
- Conduct performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions or rewards as necessary
Front End Operations
- Supervise daily sales floor activities, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth cashier operations
- Manage customer interactions, including handling complaints, processing returns, and assisting with special requests
- Monitor and organize the sales floor, ensuring it is tidy, stocked, and customer-friendly
Operational Support
- Open and close the store, ensuring all systems and protocols are followed
- Plan and oversee the completion of projects, delegating tasks effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Promote a culture of safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards promptly
Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Thrift store experience preferred but not required
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and move up to 40 lbs
Job Specifications
Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week), Supervisor
Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday (10:45 am - 7:15 pm), Thursday - Saturday (7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
Pay: $19.50 per hour
