Social Media Analyst (active Security Clearance required)
Location: Norfolk, VA (Onsite)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
Salary: $90k - $100k
Period of Performance: 5 years
Summary
Belle Lynn Sourcing LLC is currently seeking an experienced Social Media Analyst for a long-term contract position with our Government client.
This role is part of the HQ SACT Communications Branch and is responsible for analyzing the Information Environment (IE) and audience dynamics. The incumbent will assess communication and engagement performance, identify key narratives and media stakeholders, and evaluate the effectiveness of both NATO’s own and adversary communication efforts. The role requires generating actionable reports and strategic briefs to support decision makers, as well as providing real-time insights to mitigate hostile communications.
Responsibilities
- Identify specific narratives within the Information Environment relevant to NATO activities
- Identify and analyze key media stakeholders, including operators, owners, and financers, and their perceptions of NATO
- Assess and report on the effectiveness of HQ SACT and subordinate communications
- Evaluate adversary and competitor information efforts, focusing on disinformation or propaganda campaigns
- Utilize historical data to analyze past hostile information activities and forecast future trends
- Prepare strategic Command-level briefs on designated aspects of the Information Environment as required
- Support NATO’s comprehensive approach to crisis management operations
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Director of Communication/STRATCOM adviser
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance (NATO or Equivalent)
- A degree in a relevant field such as information technology, statistical analysis, or a similar discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications assessments and marketing data analysis
- At least 2 years’ experience with statistical analysis and the use of analytical tools
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in attribution modelling and forecasting
- At least 2 years’ experience in analytical data interpretation and presentation
- Working knowledge of industry research methods for gathering audience data, tracking behaviors, and analyzing preferences
Proven knowledge of communication principles, including campaign design, audience segmentation, and media strategy
