Job Description
Bellefonte Area School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Substitute Teacher.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any area is required. A degree in education is NOT required.
Job Responsibilities:
Outside Applicants:
Current Clearances Required (within past 5 years)
- Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with the provided lesson plan and
- Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the lesson plans as provided
- Instruct students in a variety of classroom courses/topics
- Motivate students to learn and encourage classroom participation
- Create a safe learning environment that is conducive to productive learning and
- Adapt to various learning styles of students
- For long-term assignments, you may be expected to develop lesson plans and administer/grade
Outside Applicants:
Current Clearances Required (within past 5 years)
- Act 34 (Criminal History)
- Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint)
- Act 151 (PA Child Abuse)
- Act 126 (Mandated Reporter Training)
Volunteer clearances will NOT be accepted.
