Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide individualized support to children, including those requiring special attention or care.
- Engage children in physical education activities that promote health and wellness.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- ALL DCF courses finished
- Clean Level 2 background.
- FCCPC or CDA is preferred.
- Experience in preschool or childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education is a plus.
- Ability to provide toddler care with patience and compassion.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity among students.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred but not required.
