Required Education/Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, IT, or related field
- Multiple years combined education & work experience in IT related to Cyber Security, preferred
Required Skills
The Technology Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the network infrastructure within the K-12 school district. This individual will work closely with the IT department, school administrators, and other stakeholders to implement, maintain, and improve security protocols, firewalls, and systems designed to protect sensitive student, staff, and school data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have experience in network security, a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and a passion for creating a safe digital environment for educators and students.
Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. Duty hours are typically 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
