NOTE: At this time, we are only considering candidates who are willing and able to start full-time on February 10, 2025. The initial 1-2 weeks of training will take place outside of your assigned storefront location, and is expected to take place in Bellevue or Tacoma, WA.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Customer Service Associate (CSA) to join our team at Bellevue Rare Coins. We support our communities by Buying, Selling, and Trading jewelry, watches, precious metals, gemstones, diamonds, numismatics, bullion, US & World Currency, and other collectibles. This role is a vital part of our core operations and is often considered the “face” of our business.
You will be expected to positively interface with diverse clientele, remain fair and impartial, be able to quickly identify materials, effectively communicate the market value for both purchases and sales, make a positive and lasting impact on others, and help us to offer the best rates within our market. You will also help us to continue building strong bonds within the communities we serve by being welcoming, informative, and engaging in everything you do.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver exceptional and impartial customer service at all times
- Sell our jewelry, watch, bullion, currency, and numismatic products while also educating our clients on the benefits and features of our inventory
- Accurately identify, research, test, evaluate and appraise goods brought in from Clients, then make attractive offers and successfully close Buys
- Decipher and effectively communicate the market value of all Buys/Sells
- Retain product and industry knowledge that helps you efficiently Buy/Sell/Trade precious materials and collectibles
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while interfacing with the public and testing precious materials
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (WILLINGNESS/ABILITY TO):
- Work full-time in an on-site environment with excellent attendance
- Walk, stand, sit, and move around in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours a day, except on Diwali which may require standing for up to 12 hours
- Regularly and independently lift up to 50lbs without assistance
REQUIRED SKILLS (WILLINGNESS/ABILITY TO):

- Have a general understanding of BRC’s product portfolio (Jewelry, Watches, Bullion, Currency, and Numismatics) and an interest to develop a deeper expertise within our field

- Read, understand, and perform in accordance with the Employee Handbook
- Use technology such as a Point of Sale and various research tools
- Be self-motivated and demonstrate passion for who we are and what we do
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proven success in retail sales and visual merchandising
- Robust knowledge of precious materials (including, but not limited to: Jewelry, Watches, Bullion, Currency, and Numismatics)
- Knowledge of tangible assets and related investments
- GIA or related jewelry or numismatic industry Certifications
- Bi-lingual or multi-lingual (any language)
- Appreciation of and a willingness to learn American & World History
- Flexible and open to work an adjusted full-time schedule, across a 4-6 day work week, if needed. Current shifts are Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Direct or prior experience with our products is not necessary. Successful candidates will complete extensive product and process training at their own pace, with the goal of working independently at the counter within 1-2 months.
