We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to lead our Bachelor’s of Computer Science in Cloud Computing program.  This academic leadership role involves program development, curriculum oversight, faculty management, and data-driven program improvement. The ideal candidate will ensure our programs are aligned with industry needs, delivering exceptional student experiences and driving successful career outcomes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Program Leadership & Development: 

  • Develop, implement, and oversee AWS-focused cloud computing and IT programs aligned with industry standards and university mission.
  • Ensure curriculum meets Bellevue University Course Master Design Standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (admissions, advising, industry partners) to create and refine programs.
  • Map course content to Program Student Learning Outcomes and industry-relevant skills.
  • Chair an Academic Advisory Board to ensure program relevance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular reviews of teaching performance, program outcomes, and student success.
  • Develop internship and experiential learning opportunities for students.
  • Develop and monitor course scheduling.

 

Faculty Development & Management: 

  • Recruit, train, and mentor subject matter expert faculty in cloud computing and AWS technologies.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure high-quality instruction and student engagement.
  • Establish clear expectations for faculty engagement and presence in online and in-person courses.

 

Data Analysis & Program Improvement: 

  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for program enhancement.
  • Analyze student enrollment, performance, and feedback data to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage financial data to ensure program profitability and efficiency.
  • Use data to improve program marketing outcomes.

 

Program Assessment & Accreditation: 

  • Lead the program's participation in the university's formal assessment process.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

 

Program Marketing & Outreach: 

  • Collaborate with enrollment management and marketing to promote programs and increase enrollment.
  • Conduct program presentations and orientations for prospective students.
  • Develop compelling marketing materials that highlight program benefits and outcomes.
  • Work with corporate learning to engage B2B clients.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of professional experience in cloud computing or IT systems will be considered.

 

Industry Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of professional experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies or cloud computing.
  • AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Developer, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Educator, or other relevant AWS certifications) are highly desired.

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
  • Strong understanding of Python, JavaScript, or Java programming.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, automation).
  • Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization.

 

Instructional Skills: 

  • Proven experience in teaching or training delivery (online or in-person).
  • Experience in online course development (preferred).
  • Ability to teach a variety of technology courses, including AWS.
  • Ability to create instructor guides.

 

Other Skills: 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
