What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Preschool Floater position at Bells Little Learners?
This position is for a full time Floater. The hours for the positions are Monday - Friday 9am-6pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be flexible and willing to float between classrooms as needed based on staffing needs and class coverage.
- Support lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 4 ½ to 5 ½ years old.
- Assist in the classroom by helping students with activities, learning tasks, and transitions between activities.
- Supervise children during outdoor play, group activities, meal times, and other daily routines to ensure safety and engagement.
- Encourage positive social interactions and help resolve conflicts between children.
- Ensure that the classroom environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning and exploration.
- Help with classroom setup and cleanup, including organizing materials and supplies.
- Follow school policies and procedures for health and safety standards, including first aid and emergency protocols.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to promote the overall development and well-being of each child.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when working with young children.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive to children’s needs and behaviors.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and bend, squat, and sit on the floor with children.
- Ability to stand for long periods and actively engage in physical activities with children.
- Comfort with working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
