Position Summary
Belmont Abbey College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Sport Management to begin August 1, 2025.

Service to the department, College, and community; scholarly development; and contributing positively to the College’s mission are expected.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a talented and dedicated sport management educator deeply and enthusiastically committed to the Catholic mission of Belmont Abbey College. An earned doctorate and demonstrated excellence in teaching are preferred. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s credentials and experience. The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sport finance, motorsport management, and/or social media is preferred. Applicants with industry experience in sport or motorsport management will be strongly considered. In addition to teaching in the candidate’s area of expertise, the successful candidate may contribute to the coverage of introductory courses and senior capstone experiences. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate 1) a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching and a sense of teaching as a vocation; 2) a philosophy of teaching that supports the approach to education expressed in St. John Paul II’s Ex Corde Ecclesiae; and 3) a strong desire to teach at a liberal arts institution where the academic program is “guided by the Catholic intellectual tradition and the Benedictine spirit of prayer and learning.”
