Belmont is currently hiring for a part-time Behavioral Health Associate to work on our ECT unit. The Behavioral Health Associate will provide basic patient care under the direction of a professional nurse.
This is a day shift position working from 7am - 3pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, perform and assist with various tasks related to ECT including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Provide service to the following age population(s): older adults and adults in a manner that demonstrate understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent along with at least 12 college credits required. Two or more years’ experience in Human Services Field; OR
- Associate’s Degree with major in human services field and two or more years’ experience in human services field; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with major in human services field and one year of experience in human services field.
- EMT or paramedic experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility. May require a valid state driver's license for some facilities.
