Inventory Management: Tracking, Reporting, Order Picks and Quality Updates

Objective: To clearly convey our inventory of trees, shrubs and flowering plants to our staff and our customers. Also, to ensure that our customers receive the quantity and quality of plants ordered accurately in a timely manner.
Reports to: Inventory Coordinator, Retail Operations Manager
Requirements:
- Have strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to work early mornings, at times as early as 5am.
- Have a basic understanding of plants and horticulture.
- Have a basic understanding of sales.
- Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, ready dates, and descriptions of plant material.
- Run and adjust pick sheets for crews, coordinating the most efficient use of labor and delivering the best plants possible to the loading dock and the customer.
- Coordinate labels for the orders.
- Enter all transfers and/or adjustments made by our labor staff into our software.
- Coordinate transfers from the dock and from nursery to nursery.
- Monitor Dump Logs and Transfer Lists from Supervisors for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate Ready Dates of inventory.
- Prepare transfer lists to fill low inventory situations in the Retail Yard.
- Advise management and sales staff of low inventory levels or out-of-stock conditions.
- Maintain a weekly Inventory Availability List for office and sales personnel.
- Serve as a liaison between the sales staff and the production staff.
- Coordinates production of prebooked crops for timely finish.
- Work closely with the sales staff to convey accurate information on quantity and quality of custom grown and prebooked items and their ready dates.
- Work closely with the production staff to meet our sales goals and covey important production information to the sales staff.
- Assist the sales staff with customers when necessary.
- Participate in continuing education on a regular basis.
- Other duties as needed.
Hours:
Various Monday through Sunday as needed.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
