This position will:

• Perform duties related to scheduling and pre-registration for upcoming services and assuring a positive experience for the patient
• Responsible for obtaining pertinent information from patients, other care providers and health records to ensure that orthopedic visits are scheduled timely and with an appropriate provider
• Duties require a high degree of interpretation of medical records and focused patient interviewing that would customarily be performed by someone with nursing or medical assistant skill set

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a health care setting or its equivalent

Preferred:

• Minimum of two (2) years' scheduling, patient accounts, unit clerk or medical assistant experience
• Clinic, Surgical and Medical Diagnostic scheduling experience
