Position Overview
BEMAR is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to ensure detailed bookkeeping and financial tracking. This role ensures that payments are correctly submitted and recorded while maintaining accurate financial information. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and accounting skills. This position requires the ability to undertake additional tasks when needed.
Responsibilities
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll records.
- Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare and submit invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients.
- Collaborate with management team to assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents and records.
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Manage accounts payable records & documents
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable using Quickbooks.
- Prepare and maintain financial documents and records.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports.
- Generate financial reports for review by management.
- Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Manage vendor relations.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Quick Books
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices
Experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required
