A well-established engineering & construction firm is looking to bring on an Instrumentation Engineer to support a range of EPC projects across the midstream oil & gas space. This is a chance to step into a role that’s more than just design — you’ll play a key part in specifying, procuring, and coordinating instrumentation for complex process systems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safety-first mindset in all project phases
- Review and annotate instrumentation on P&IDs to meet company, client, and ISA standards
- Specify and select instrumentation for pressure, temperature, flow, and level applications (transmitters, switches, gauges, etc.)
- Develop instrument datasheets and installation details
- Coordinate with vendors for technical evaluations and quotations
- Interface with other engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, structural) to ensure design integration
- Support commissioning and troubleshoot instrumentation during start-up
- Keep up-to-date with standards like ISA, API, ASME, ISO, and PIP
- Participate in design reviews and propose optimized instrumentation strategies
✅ Preferred Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience supporting instrumentation engineering in EPC project environments
- Familiarity with Emerson and Ashcroft instrumentation is a plus
- Skilled with SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), Fisher sizing tools, and FE Sizer
- Strong grasp of industry codes, technical standards, and best practices
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and solving complex problems
