Role Overview: Client Lead
Our client is looking for a dedicated Client Lead who will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing client relationships. You will work closely with a team of bookkeepers and other client leads, directly contributing to the company’s goal of providing top-tier accounting services. Success in this role means maintaining strong client satisfaction, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and managing the day-to-day financial operations for clients across various industries.
What The Selected Candidate Will Do
· Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of 10-20 clients, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
· Lead and oversee the delivery of monthly accounting services, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
· Coordinate with bookkeepers and other team members to ensure client needs are met promptly.
· Perform and review bookkeeping tasks, including payroll, bill pay, and customer reporting.
· Onboard new clients by unwinding existing processes, documenting new workflows, and setting up systems.
· Implement cloud accounting solutions and leverage AI to improve process efficiency and deliver better client value.
· Conduct regular check-ins with clients to discuss their financial health, business goals, and potential pain points.
· Collaborate with the leadership team to refine service offerings and contribute to the firm’s growth strategies.
· Maintain adherence to company best practices and core values in all client interactions.
Who We’re Looking For
· High emotional intelligence (EQ) with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Experienced in cloud accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
· Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and familiar with other cloud-based accounting platforms.
· Able to handle ambiguity and manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for process improvement and efficiency.
· Comfortable working with industry-agnostic clients who have both cash-basis and accrual-based accounting needs
· Able to lead and manage small teams, providing guidance and support to bookkeepers and other accounting professionals.
· Enthusiastic about utilizing AI and advanced technologies to enhance accounting practices.
· A proactive team player who brings a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
Location, Compensation, and Logistics
· Fully remote position, although a significant portion of the team is based in the Southeast US.
· Compensation is competitive, with an estimated salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and fit.
· The role starts as soon as possible, with a preference for onboarding by the beginning of March 2024.
· Candidates will be expected to track their work hours, maintaining a flexible schedule that averages around 35-40 hours per week, with peak times at the beginning of each month
