                                                                                                            Product Operations Manager

 

As the Product Operations Manager you will drive accountability and consistency of process, tools, results, and communication across an entire function, with a focus on simplification for efficiency. You will have a close connection to process & partners across multiple business units, product engines and functions. You ask good questions and are continually learning as well as finding opportunities to share your knowledge. You enjoy collecting and understanding requirements from partners to craft and support the most efficient way to work, inclusive of scaling best practices. You hold peers and partners accountable for their deliverables with impeccable influencing skills and you can monitor and reprioritize several competing projects for yourself and a team. You thrive in ambiguous, highly collaborative environments, and bring creative and analytical thinking to the solutions you build.

These are unique operations roles centered around driving future ways of working for our internal and external partners. Leading with a digital mindset, you will engage individuals and teams on critical initiatives and projects on behalf of the function to bring our growth strategies to life and you will be the hub to connect with cross functional operational partners to drive process innovation as well accountability to the Go-To-Market process.

Responsibilities

 

  • Works with Director of Product to create, influence and adopt new business models to scale our product operations to new levels of efficiency.
  • Stand up product operating model, inclusive of annual and seasonal Product Lifecycle planning milestones and target/tracing.
  • Partners with internal teams (creative and technical) and external partners to deliver cross-channel product line tracking/planning to meet project goals.
  • Support analysis and reporting of effectiveness and efficiency of teams and projects.
  • Manage product lifecycle calendar and communications about plans to internal teams and partners on a regular basis.
  • Select and implement best in class collaboration tools to drive efficiency across product development functions.
  • Provide solutions for implementing and/or enhancing project management technologies, including reporting, communication automation and market analytics.
  • Identify opportunities for automating ingestion of data into category management automation tools
  • Ability to analyze data and use customer research, product testing feedback, data, and metrics to back up assumptions identify opportunities’, and assess the performance of product categories and franchises.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.
  • Strong execution capability with the highest standards in a rapidly evolving business
  • Coordinate the needs, requests of the product team from all channels and be the link to the process, actively sorting, arranging, and resourcing for success.
  • Support for the department to ensure accountability to global deadlines, execution of timelines.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, project management or related field
  • 4 years of professional experience in product, marketing, or sales operations or related field
  • 4 years of professional experience with product, marketing, or sales automation tools/systems
  • Strong project management experience a must. 
  • Has driven, aligned, and executed product, sales, and go-to-market processes.
  • Has set precedent and developed processes as well as promoted adoption thereof within an organization.
  • Experience with business intelligence and business operations tools.  Syspro, SharePoint, Asana, Tableau, and Workfront a plus
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Adobe design software a plus.
  • Demonstrates exceptional project management skills; can manage multiple large projects in parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability in exceptional cross-functional leadership.
  • Ability to visualize, develop and articulate project needs.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, superiors, the public, and others.
  • Capable public speaker, competent in developing and running presentations and meetings.
  • Set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on deliverables with little to no direction.
  • Provide complex office administrative support in the areas of procurement and staff communication.
  • Interpret and implement policies and procedures related to the department.
  • Must have the ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment and discretion.
  • Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude, and computer competencies
  • Strong information seeking skills and drive to make things happen.
  • Knowledge of standard office administration practices and procedures, including business correspondence formatting and the use of standard office equipment

 

Working Conditions:

  • Working Environment: Office Position
  • Physical Demands: Lifting up to 25 lbs., sitting and talking on the phone and computer for long periods of time.   
  • Travel Requirements:   As needed, less than 10% of the time.
