We’re looking for a Service Writer to be the vital link between our customers and service technicians. As the first and last point of contact for customers needing vehicle service, you play a crucial role in delivering a top-tier experience and ensuring customer satisfaction.
You’ll guide customers through the service process—from scheduling appointments to finalizing repairs and collecting payments. Success in this role requires strong organization, attentiveness, and the ability to clearly communicate technical information in a customer-friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers and gather vehicle information.
- Listen actively to customer concerns and ask insightful follow-up questions.
- Clearly explain repair processes, estimated timelines, and associated costs.
- Maintain open communication with technicians to ensure accurate updates.
- Schedule service appointments and keep customers informed on job status.
- Contact customers regarding changes in cost estimates or completion times.
- Obtain proper authorization before any repairs are performed.
- Accurately document all customer interactions and technician updates.
- Process customer payments upon completion of vehicle service.
- Professionally manage customer concerns and resolve grievances.
- Communicate any issues or escalations to supervisors.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
