We are a mixed animal veterinary hospital seeking a highly motivated, hard-working, committed candidate with a positive attitude to fill our part-time or full-time Veterinary Assistant position. We are happy to consider a candidate with Veterinary Assistant experience or one with customer service experience that is willing to learn all the ins and outs of veterinary care. We are very happy to train the person that is eager and dedicated to learning. We love to encourage knowledge and professional development.

- Full-Time Hours per Week: 30 – 40
- Part-Time Hours per Week: 15 - 30
- Schedule: Weekdays, frequent Saturdays
- Compensation: $19.00 /hour DOE
Qualifications
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task during times of stress
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, frequently working in a bent position, occasionally in inclement weather
- Work well professionally with all levels of clinic team members
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Independently initiate workflow processes
- Animal Care: Walk animals, clean animals or area, feed and medicate
- Assist doctors and technicians with appointments, animal restraint, client follow-up, medication preparation and administration, animal emergency care
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, process client payments, accurate and confidential medical record-keeping
- Other duties as assigned
Training to Include:
- Safe and proper restraint of animals even when large or difficult
- Radiology
- Patient & Customer Care
- Perform Diagnostic Tests
