POSITION SUMMARY
Assist Lead HVAC / Plumber with maintenance and upgrades to campus systems. Perform general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of campus facilities as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist Lead HVAC / Plumber on daily tasks to maintain and upgrade HVAC and Plumbing systems across campus
- Conduct routine daily checks on hot water and steam boilers and air conditioning systems. Change HVAC filters.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks in dorms, classrooms and all campus areas
- Perform preventative maintenance and recurrent inspections of life safety equipment including smoke detectors, exit signs, fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and alarm panels
- Change light bulbs and ballasts throughout campus as needed
- Provide General Maintenance repairs such as electrical, plumbing, window and door/lock repairs, drywall repair, paining; and general maintenance tasks as requested by faculty and staff
- Communicate effectively and courteously with other workers, staff, faculty, and students
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision to stay on task and perform maintenance
- Other duties as assigned

Education
High School Diploma or GED; HVAC Technical or Plumbing Technical Certificate preferred
Experience
One to two year’s experience in HVAC / Plumbing preferred, but not required
