We work directly with employees throughout the U.S. providing customized benefit communication and administrative services and support to our client’s HR Department and their individual employees.
Must be located in the Kansas City Metro to be considered. Hybrid position with at least one day a week in the corporate office, more days needed for training, and busier times of the year.
The Human Resources (HR) Recruiter is responsible for critical operational functions in the Human Resources Department. This person leads recruitment duties handling the life cycle of recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates based on the unique needs and requirements of each position and hiring management expectations. The HR Recruiter equally focuses on insurance licensing operations. The HR Recruiter serves as back-up to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor and the Licensing HR Generalist.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Recruitment Life-Cycle Workflow
In collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Supervisor, identifies and investigates the most effective sourcing outlets to best meet the staffing needs of the Company’s growing multi-state operations; guided by a designated time-to-fill metrics. Sources qualified candidates utilizing and managing the applicant tracking system, social media recruiting, business networking, and Company employee referral program. Proactively operates closely with the hiring managers and other internal and external partners to build the appropriate job requisition and screening strategy. Independently problem solves throughout the life-cycle of the recruitment process serving as the point of contact and subject expert for all partners, vendors and multiple clients. Practices superior interpersonal communication skills to build solid internal and external business relationships while creating a positive experience for the hiring manager and the job applicant. Develops and delivers candidate packets. Creates and maintains job postings, application workflow, and reporting through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
2. Licensing Life-Cycle Workflow
In collaboration with the Licensing HR Generalist, maintains and supports the essential steps to effectively process resident and new non-resident insurance agent licensing applications timely. Leads a routine to regularly follow up with states to ensure licenses are successfully issued. Coordinates fingerprinting and other state-specified requirements to meet all steps of the license processing with accuracy. Processes name changes and address changes with all states and benefit carriers for the Company’s licensed agents. Leads and coordinates the scheduling and follow-up necessary for employee’s pre-licensing coursework and exam to meet resident agent licensure. Problem solves to remedy state licensure, carrier appointment, and/or licensing renewal challenges. Collects and evaluates background information and other licensing documents while working directly with individual employees and responsible to ensure all outstanding items are resolved before application is submitted. Maintains professional and time-sensitive communication with internal and external staff and partners to clarify when licensing and appointment requirements have all been met.
3. Other Responsibilities
Leads and participates in weekly recruitment meetings and other licensing or team huddles sharing guidance and expertise. Maintains and updates recruitment and licensing data for requesting parties. Serves as project coordinator for specific HR related initiatives, as assigned by the Talent Acquisition Supervisor. Works as a cohesive team with other HR co-workers to meet clear objectives set by departmental or Company initiatives.
4. Compliance Responsibilities
Maintains and consistently expands knowledge and understanding of existing or proposed federal and state laws/regulations impacting human resource duties. Stays aware and shares trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources.
5. Performs all other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, relatable field of study or equivalent experience obtained through specialized professional work experience.
2. Professional illustrated experience of all facets of life-cycle recruitment and HR compliance.
3. Working knowledge of HRIS/ATS systems, MS Office, and recruitment sourcing platforms.
4. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and process mindedness when faced with unfamiliar tasks or requests.
5. Demonstrated substantial professional communication with all levels in the workplace.
6. Professional experience within a multitasking environment, operating with distractions without compromising the high quality of communication, service level, and results.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Knowledge from operating on the Paycor HRIS platform.
2. Human Resources certification.

Starting Annual Base Salary Range for This Position is $55,000 - $60,000.
This Position Is Also Eligible For Monthly Incentive Pay Based On Meeting Performance Metrics Following 90 Days of Active Employment
The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. BCInsourcing takes into consideration a combination of the selected candidate’s skill set, experience, qualifications, licensure, and other job-related reasons as it relates to the position. At our Company, generally, an individual would not be hired at the top of the range of the role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each posting.
